Green Rented the Drive
High Beams is a free, 21+ Triple Feature at the West Wind Drive-In in North Las Vegas on Saturday, November 14, 2026. It celebrates the grand opening of Green North on N Decatur, 10 minutes away. There’s a festival all afternoon, then three screens of movies at night, and you watch from your car with the sound on your FM radio.
The afternoon · 2 to 5 PM
- Lucha libre: a live ring in front of Screen 2.
- Car show: the front rows of Screen 3 are held for show cars.
- Vendor market and DJs in the Screen 1 lot and out front of Screen 2.
- Food trucks all day, and the drive-in concession stand is open.
The night · movies at 5:30
- Screen 1, The Feature: cult comedy classics.
- Screen 2, The Film Festival: local horror and comedy shorts, made for the night.
- Screen 3, The Car Movie: the car movies you know by heart. The show cars stay parked to watch.
Get in on it
Filmmakers: your short on a drive-in screen
There’s $1,250 in prizes: $500, $300 and $200 from the judges, plus a $250 People’s Choice award voted by the crowd. Make a 3 to 10 minute horror or comedy short and give Green or the Green bag a real part in the story. The winners premiere on Screen 2 on Nov 14, in front of a lot full of cars.
Already have a finished short? The Open category takes any genre, Green optional, and it’s eligible for People’s Choice.
Open to Nevada residents 21+. Entries close Monday, Nov 9 at 11:59 PM.
Car owners: park in the front row
The front rows of Screen 3 are held for show cars: classics, muscle cars, imports and tuners, lowriders, trucks and exotics. From 2 to 5 PM the whole festival walks your row. Then stay parked and watch the car movies from the best spot on the lot. Trophies at dusk. Free to enter. Space is limited, so every entry is reviewed.
Vendors: free booths, a big crowd
Local makers, artists and merch sellers: bring your work to the market in the Screen 1 lot and out front of Screen 2, next to the DJs and the lucha ring. Booths are free. Sell your work, give some away, or both. Setup is at 1 PM and the market runs 2 to 5. Bring your own table and canopy; there’s no power on site. Space is limited, and every request is reviewed.
